Scrub the graph or drag on the map — each channel shows its value at the cursor on the right of its own band. Shift-click the graph (or press M) to drop marker A then B; the gap between them reads out in the toolbar, which is how you answer “how long was I in 5th”. Arrow keys step the cursor, shift-arrow steps by ten. Switch “Laps from” to Derived and drag the start/finish — lap times recompute live, which is the only practical way to confirm the line is in the right place, because a misplaced line splits a hot lap across two timings.
